In 2020, Leeuwin Coast's rock oysters and Akoya were the first aquaculture products in Australia to be certified Carbon Neutral by Climate Active - a rigorous Australian Government initiative. This means we have achieved net zero carbon emissions in the production of our shellfish.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) are a set of 17 interconnected goals established by the United Nations. The SDG's aim to address a wide range of global challenges and outline a blueprint for a more sustainable future for all - people, planet and animals. The following SDG's guided the creation of our ESG Framework:

Certifications, Memberships & Partnerships
Harvest Road Group has been elected to the board of the GRSB representing the processor constituency. The Roundtable promotes ‘a world where beef is a trusted part of a thriving food system in which the beef value chain is environmentally sound, socially responsible, and economically viable’. The roundtable includes Australian industry representatives and advocacy agencies such as Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA), Cattle Australia and World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
Harvest Road Group is an active participant in the ABSF consultative committee, a prominent reference group for the framework. This committee comprises of individuals from government, agriculture, academia and retailers, all joined in the pursuit of a sustainable beef industry vision.
